You chose to work in libraries because you want to make a positive difference in the world, but now you need support to actually create the effect you want to see.
Whether you’re ready to take your work to the next level or need help navigating an obstacle, I’m here to help you find your path forward.
Let’s talk! You’re in the right place if you are:
❤️ A library leader who wants to lead in a way that empowers your team because you want to create a kinder, healthier workplace than what you came into
🧡 A library worker who wants to use your position to work toward social justice, and need a collaborator to help you figure out how to do that more effectively
💛 A new librarian trying to figure out how to navigate meeting promotion and tenure requirements in a way that’s aligned with your values, so that you can build a career that you’re proud of
💚 A mid-career librarian who needs help rediscovering your “why”, so that you can feel energized about your work again
💙 An overworked library worker who is ready to stop, take a breath, and build a strategy to tame your workload, so that you can actually do work you’re proud of and get some of that work-life balance that people talk about
💜 A library worker who is navigating a late diagnosis of neurodivergence and exploring how that has shaped your work relationships
After feeling stuck for several years, Angela helped me identify and clarify my goals and map out an action plan. Now, instead of just ticking items off my to-do list week after week, I feel like I’m working towards a unified purpose.

How can coaching help you?
As a coach, I help you stay mindful about acting in ways that are in alignment with your values.
To do that, I listen to what you avoid saying as well as what you do say. I ask thought-provoking questions to challenge you to think about your situation from other perspectives.
I help you examine what facts are true and what are actually just parts of a story you’re telling yourself, so that you can explore your full range of options and move forward in a way that you’ll be proud of later.
Let’s talk about what support you need![Just a single session] put things into perspective and gave me some hope about things getting better 🙂
~ Ana
Coaching packages:
Coaching is an investment in your future, but we don’t all have the same resources available to invest, so I offer sliding scale pricing for individual coaching. Check the chart at the bottom of the page to see which pricing level you fit into. And if you’re not able to use professional development funding to enroll, we can also break the price up into a monthly payment plan.

Clear your path through the promotion / tenure process
You’ve settled into your academic library job and feel like you have a handle on the librarianship part of it, but now you need to start thinking about building your dossier for promotion, and tenure if you’re eligible.
Hello anxiety!
How much is enough?
How do you get started in doing the scholarship part of this role, whether that’s writing for publication or presenting in other formats?
How are you going to be able to keep up with all of the committees and other service that you’re being asked to do?
Library school didn’t prepare us for the expectations that often come with faculty positions.
That’s where I step in.
We’ll work through:
- Getting clear on what your library’s criteria and procedures actually mean
- Setting goals that matter to you, so that you can work toward your clear purpose
- Prioritizing your work, including service obligations, around those goals, so that you can put more time and energy toward the stuff that matters
- Exploring how to meet publication and presentation expectations in a way that feels exciting and valuable to you
- Getting started and making progress on a writing project and/or conference proposal
- Building strategies to create and hold boundaries around your time
- Learning to say “no” in ways that won’t jeopardize your path to promotion / tenure
This package includes:
✅ Coaching sessions (1 hour) scheduled every other week for 6 months
✅ Email support available in between meetings
✅ Tailored exercises and/or reflections for you to work on between our meetings
Level 1 – $2400
Level 2 – $3000
Level 3 – $3600
Tame your workload
We’ve been told to “do more with less” for decades. By now, every bit of slack that was ever there has been wiped away, and you’re rushing from one task to another, scrambling to barely do “good enough” on as much as you can get done, and feeling buried under your to-do list.
When your plate is overflowing with work, it can seem like there’s no time to do anything but react, which blocks you from developing strategies to more effectively manage your workload, and can even cause you to waste time by doing things the hard way.
Taking time to pause, reflect, and prioritize can feel like a luxury you can’t afford, but it’s the only way to get this mess under control, so that you don’t burn yourself out.
Your library and your community need you to be able to continue to show up reliably and consistently, which means you have to take care of yourself. Exhaustion drains your immune system, which increases your risk of a physical illness making you take an unplanned break.
Running until you crash and burnout is bad for you, your library, and your community.
You can’t pour from an empty cup, so you need to protect your time and energy, so that you can continue to show up for your community.
That means being realistic about how much any one person can actually can do.
That means being strategic about what you prioritize, and what you start saying “no” to.
That means learning effective strategies for saying “no”, or at least “not right now”.
We’ll work through:
- Getting clear on just how much you’re already doing, so that you can stop wondering whether you’re doing enough
- Getting clear on what goals matter and what goals your current work is actually supporting
- Setting new goals if the ones you have don’t really matter
- Prioritizing your work, so that you can put more time and energy toward the goals that matter
- Building strategies to create and hold boundaries around your time
- Learning to say “no” in ways that won’t get you fired
This package includes:
✅ Coaching sessions (1 hour) scheduled every other week for 16 weeks (8 sessions total)
✅ Email support available in between meetings
✅ Structured exercises for you to work through between meetings, so that we can make the most of our time together during sessions
Level 1 – $1600
Level 2 – $2000
Level 3 – $2400
Navigate your other professional goals
You have a goal you want to achieve, but need help getting there from where you are.
Or you need help figuring out what goals you even really want to work toward.
This is intentionally big and broad to include all of the goals and challenges that call for custom solutions.
Let’s talk about what coaching through your challenge would look like, whether I’m the best person to support you in reaching your goal, and what a reasonable timeline will be. If I’m not confident that I can provide the support you need, I’ll tell you that, and offer a referral if I know of someone who I think would be a better fit.
A minimum commitment is 3 months, because that gives us space to really dig in and see some transformational changes.
However, depending on the issue you’re working through, I may recommend a longer initial commitment.
While I fully understand cost as a factor, it would be a disservice for me to sell you a shorter package than you really need, because that incentivizes you to rush through the work – which means you’re likely to fall short of the change that you want to see.
So let’s have a conversation about where you want to get to and what it’ll take to get there!
