About Me

I spent a dozen years as an academic librarian focusing on teaching critical information literacy, working against structural oppression within libraries, and growing as a collaborative leader.

One of my favorite parts of that job was supporting people in their development, including leading a department of librarians, mentoring junior colleagues through preparing for their pre-tenure reviews, working with a staff member as a mentor teacher to prepare them to teach our credit bearing information literacy course, and guiding college students through the process of developing their research skills.

In 2022, I decided to begin working toward a career change that would allow me to focus entirely on supporting library workers reach their professional goals. I completed an ICF-accredited training program to become a professional coach. I’m an active member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and I’m working toward my initial ICF certification.

And in 2023, I left my position as an academic librarian to focus full time on building my practice as a Leadership & Career Development Coach.

My primary focus is supporting library workers, whether you want to develop as a leader, clarify your priorities within your current position, strategize your progress toward promotion and tenure, or explore your career options beyond libraries.

I’d love to talk with you about how I can support you in developing toward your goals.

My standard poodle, Mocha, occasionally likes to join my meetings.
